Karen Lynn Zuercher

Karen attended Douglas MacArthur High School (1978), St. Mary’s University (1982), and University of Texas Law School (1985). She practiced a successful undefeated law career for seven years and then went on to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio to pursue a CPA.

Karen is survived by her daughter Robin Jean Zuercher. She also leaves mother Barbara Ann Zuercher. She leaves brother Mark Bowen Zuercher and his wife Jo, niece Holly Bullard, and nephews Andrew and Daniel Kolaja. She leaves cousins Barbara Bowen Selby, Mary Bowen Ruth, Elizabeth Bowen Tellez, and Elaine Marie Zuercher. She leaves brother Barry Zuercher, wife Tracy and nephew Nicholas Martin Zuercher. She also leaves brother Kenneth, sister in law Barbara Jo Busch and nephew Kenneth Lee Zuercher, Jr, wife Cindy and great nieces Keira and Kelsey.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Rodney Rhodes Zuercher and her brother Rodney Zuercher, Jr.

Karen had an activist heart and a traveler’s spirit. She was an incredible mother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved deeply and was loved very much. Karen will be greatly missed but is now resting peacefully in the loving arms of God.

The memorial service is at 12:00 PM July 17th, Grace Lutheran Church,504 Avenue. E.,78215 with reception to follow.

Flowers are welcome but the family also asks for copies of photos of Karen with family and friends.
