Karl Alfred Braeutigam Sr., 77 of Stockdale, Texas, passed away December 16, 2018 surrounded by family. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend, who will be dearly missed.

He was born October 3, 1941 in San Antonio to Emil Braeutigam and Elizabeth (Garms) Braeutigam. He graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1959 and received his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Mary’s University.

He loved family, hunting and fishing in Port Aransas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Elizabeth Braeutigam.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jacquelyn (Doolittle) Braeutigam. They married in San Antonio on December 21, 1963. He is also survived by his children: Karen and husband Chuck Milligan, Karl “Chip” Braeutigam Jr. and wife Priscilla, Kenneth Braeutigam and wife Kara, his grandchildren: Amanda Braeutigam, Patrick & Sean Milligan, and Kade Braeutigam, along with his brother Kurt Braeutigam and wife Renee and family.

Visitation will be 5-7pm, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 12noon, Friday, December 21, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
