Kay was preceded in death by parents, Griffin and Frances Wooten Sr. and tragically by two of her three children: daughter Lisa Lynn Woods, age 37, and son, Warren Ford Woods, age 54. Kay spent most of her life in San Antonio graduating from Edison High School in 1949. She retired from Kelly AFB at age 60 as an Item Manager in 2003. She then embarked on a second career in Real Estate, both as a salesperson and remodeler doing most of the work herself. Alzheimer’s entered her life at age 81 and slowly began to affect her way of living but with close friends and a loving family along with her strong faith she maintained her home until the Lord needed her. Kay’s priorities in life included her faith in God, children, family, her cats, home, neighborhood, and friends. Her “Gentle Spirit” was a blessing to all who knew her.
A celebration of Kay’s life will take place at a later date. Friends and family will be notified.
