

Kaye Ann Richardson, 84, died peacefully on January 2, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. She had spent the last 3 years of her life in San Antonio with her son, Steven Richardson and daughter-in-law Anne Richardson.
Kaye was born April 18, 1940 in Brighton, Iowa. She was a twin with her sister Faye. They were both well known as children and young adults as the “Sobaski Twins” and they were both musically talented. They sang at public events and private parties all over eastern Iowa in their youth. Both had voices like angels, Kaye played the accordion and Faye played the guitar.
The two attended Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa where they met their future life partners. Kaye and Steven P. Richardson were married soon after graduation and started their lives in Iowa City, Iowa. In May 1964, they had their first and only child, Steven L. Richardson.
Kaye was a loving mother and was very active in the community. She was involved with singing in the church guitar mass, acting in the community theater and social activities. She also had a passion for fashion, entertaining and a friend to many.
Kaye and Steve Sr. moved to Tuscon, Arizona in 1987. Kaye was widowed in 2005 but continued on enjoying her interests and world travels. In 2021, she moved to San Antonio, Texas to live closer to her son Steven and daughter-in-law Anne. She had a zest for life and enjoyed new friends and Texas lifestyle.
A life beautifully lived, leaving us with a trail of memories as well as lots of laughs. She will be missed dearly.
Per Kaye’s wishes, a funeral service will not be held.
