He was born on August 27, 1936 in Dallas, Texas, to parents, Norman and Loyce Sutherland.
He enjoyed his work as a draftsman at Texas Instruments before attending and graduating from Texas A & M where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology.
Keith then began his career in the loss control field where he became known for his thoroughness and expertise along with his great sense of humor. He played the mandolin with a band called the Rafters in his younger years but always reserved a love for blue-grass music.
Keith could fix anything and you could count on him to have what was needed to fix it.
Keith is survived by sons, Grant Sutherland; Kenneth Sutherland and wife Lea; Murray Sutherland and wife Robin; grandson, Dylon Abbott; sister, Jerry Burch and husband Wilson; and niece, Teri Burch.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2010, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
