

Ken served two tours in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. After the war he worked for Civil Service at Lackland Air Force Base. In April of 1977 he went to work for Orkin Pest Control for 33 years and, upon retirement, started and ran his own pest control company in Bulverde, Texas with his wife, Sheryl. Ken and Sheryl loved fishing down at Port A. and camping in their trailer. They also loved bowling and were on a bowling league for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Christine Lewis and Robert Alexander Jones. Ken is survived by his wife Sheryl of 44 years; son, David Carpenter; grandson, Jacob Carpenter; siblings, Keith Jones and wife Vanessa and Judith Christine Jones-Kosub and husband Gerald; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a lifetime of friends and pest control customers.
A graveside ceremony will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 10:15 AM. A celebration of Ken’s life will be arranged in the coming months where friends and family can gather and remember his wonderful life.
