LaPread loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was active at Shearer Hills Baptist Church and the CLEAR HomeSchool Co-op. She home-schooled her beloved son Alex while also teaching him Suzuki violin. Mrs. King had a special gift with hospitality, she lit up a room with her joyfulness wherever she went. She was a loving and wonderful wife, mother, and friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Ashcraft. She is survived by her husband, Emmitt King; a son, Alex King; her mother, Bonnie Ashcraft; a sisters, DuRhonda Lamb and her husband Bill of Tuscaloosa, AL, Angela Gregory and husband, Noel of Houston, TX; 2 brothers, Courtney Ashcraft of Hope Hull, AL, and Counce Ashcraft and his wife Angie of Montgomery, AL; and 11 nieces and nephews.
