Laura Oropeza Gonzalez

Laura Oropeza Gonzalez, age 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters on Thursday, August 13, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on September 29, 1950 in Monterrey, Mexico to Minerva Tijerina de Oropeza and Pablo Oropeza Gomez. She was an accomplished Doctor of Dental Surgery and small business owner, but most importantly was a dedicated wife, mother and daughter. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Lita. She had a vivacious personality and always made friends everywhere she went.

She was preceded in death by her son, Heriberto A. Gonzalez, Jr. and her father, Pablo Oropeza Gomez. Laura is survived by her husband, Heriberto A. Gonzalez; and daughters, Veronica Gonzalez-Brown, Erika Gonzalez and Jessica Gonzalez; her grandchildren, Isabella, Benjamin, Lucas, Ana Clarissa, Evan, Charlotte, and Kaitlyn. She also leaves behind her mother, son-in-laws, her three sisters, numerous nieces and nephews and a lifetime of friends that she deeply touched. The family will hold a visitation prior to the Rosary starting at 2:00 PM.
