Laura Ruth Neely

Laura was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, June 22, 1959. She graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a BS in Early Childhood Development, and then went on to receive her Masters in Psychology at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She then worked for the Texas Health and Human Services as a Child Protective Services case worker. She was a member of Windcrest United Methodist Church.

Laura cared deeply for all those around her and was generous to a fault. She, many times over, gave away her last dime to someone in need. Those who knew her will miss her loving, thoughtful ways, her fun sense of humor, and her giving spirit.

She is preceded in death by her father, William Collins Neely.

She is survived by her mother Patricia Neely Wittliff, sister, Elizabeth Neely Dwyer and brother in law, Shawn Dwyer, and nieces Blair and Kelley Dwyer, brother Michael Neely, sister in law Julie Neely and niece Shaleigh Neely, and step mother Janet Neely, half brother Sean Neely and half sister Katy Neely of Corpus Christi. She is also survived by her close loving friends and companions who cared for her like a sister, Bobby Eckhardt, Shirley Savage, Jennifer Mensay, and Lisa Hale.
