Lazaro Jose Gonzalez IV

In loving memory of Lazaro Jose Gonzalez IV, who peacefully entered the Lord’s embrace on Monday November 20,2023, at the age of 64. He was born on July 19, 1959, in Alpine, TX, to Lazaro Gonzalez III and Leonor Colchado Gonzalez.

Lazaro was a hard worker who dedicated over four decades of his life to the noble profession of an electrician. Known for his selflessness, he never hesitated to interrupt his own task to assist family and friends. His spare moments were joyfully spent cheering on his grandkids in their various sport pursuits, a reflection of the deep love and pride he felt for each one.

Lazaro is preceded in death by his parents Lazaro Gonzalez III and Leonor Gonzalez, as well as siblings Esmeralda Solorio, Dagoberto Gonzalez, and Rolando Gonzalez. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita Gonzalez, and their three children Angela Merriweather (Tony), Christina Gonzalez (Matthew), and Lazaro Gonzalez V (Olivia). A cherished Popo to Lilah, Chloe, Bella, Matthew Jr., Lazaro VI, Sofia, Lorenzo, Emma, and Jacob. He is fondly remembered by his surviving siblings, brothers Corando, Mario, Enrique, and Mauro Gonzalez and sisters Roxann Soto-Serna, Zenaida Guerra, Leonor Gonzalez, and Maribel Cavazos. His memory will live on in the hearts of numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lazaro’s departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto, 78211 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Tuesday, December 5, 2023 a Mass of Resurrection will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Leonard's Catholic Church with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
