Leah Shapiro Maze, age 89, died Friday, November 11, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born November 12, 1926 to Joe and Goldie Shapiro. She was a kindergarten teacher at Agudas Achim for 17 years, and a member of Agudas Achim Sisterhood and Hadassah.
Leah was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Albert Maze; step-mother, Lillian Shapiro; and two sisters, Edith Mantinband and Bernice Vejans.
She is survived by three sons: Marc Maze, Gary Maze (Linda), Lawrence Maze (Arlene); six grandchildren: Meredith, Rachel, Jennifer, Jeremy, Michael, and Gregory; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Fannie Rae Shapiro; brother-in-law, Gerald Maze; sister-in-law, Mindy Maze; and numerous nieces and nephews.
