Leon Albert Henderson

Leon A. Henderson, Jr. age 68, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on August 1, 1952, in Corpus Christi, to parents, Leon A. Henderson, Sr. and Mildred Hamilton. Leon graduated from Richard King High School in Corpus Christi, TX in 1970. He continued his education at Del Mar College. In 1987 he started his career with Christus Health until his passing; in total 34 years.

He attended Woodlawn Elementary School, where he participated in Cub Scouts and he excelled in softball. He then attended Sundeen Jr. High. Leon excelled in Little League Baseball, football and Boy Scouts. Graduated from Richard King High School, May, 1970, where he excelled in football and baseball. Served in the United States Air Force for eight years, where he made the rank of SSGT. He returned home and worked as a security guard at CCNAS. He obtained a certificate in Computer Science. He went to work for Spohn Hospital in Corpus. Christi, TX. He was then transferred to San Antonio, TX, where he became an Information Technology Analyst for the Clinical Dept., working alongside the Network Operations Center (NOC).

He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Mildred; and his son, Christopher Henderson. Leon is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda Branch Henderson; his children, Leon Henderson III (Velma) Corpus Christi, TX, Stephen Henderson and Christen Branch; San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Robert Branch, Melanie Branch, Nathan, Hailey, Desiree, Brandy, Brianna, Kristopher, and Heaven Henderson; siblings, Linda Sue Henderson Denmon, Houston, TX, and Charles Duhart San Antonio, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Porter Loring on McCullough.
