Leslie Wayne Vocke

Les was born October 8, 1948 in San Antonio. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1968 and on March 25, 1972, married his wife Donna Sue Vocke. In 1973, Les joined the San Antonio Fire Department where he served for 29 years and retired as a District Chief in 2002.

Never idle, Les was a craftsman who enjoyed working with his hands on carpentry and home improvement projects along with an occasional trip to a casino.

Les was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Vocke and mother, Katie A. Vocke.

Les is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna Vocke; his sons, Jarrett Vocke and Cory Vocke; granddaughters, Maizy and Kaleigh Vocke, and Taylor and Ali Vocke; great-grandson, J.J.; sister, Patricia Smith; brother, Michael Vocke, and nieces, Sherri Fossatti, Kimberly Ayers, and Zoe Vocke.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 2 o’clock p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 N Loop 1604 E, SATX 78232.

In lieu of flowers Les request that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
