Linda Denise Friesenhahn, 61, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away unexpectedly at home on September 4, 2025, leaving her family and friends heartbroken. Born October 9, 1963, to Harry Merton and Barbara Mae Jordan, Linda grew up with a heart full of joy and a spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She never knew a stranger—her kindness, humor, and warmth made everyone feel welcome in her presence.
Linda devoted her life to her family as a passionate homemaker and wife. She found her greatest joy in caring for her husband, Norman, baking and preparing meals, and filling her home with love and laughter. She was a woman of many delights: she loved pink roses, sweets, candles, politics, Saltgrass Steakhouse dinners, Amazon shopping, Thanksgiving, perfumes, camping by the beach in the RV, and sitting on her porch with a cup of coffee while chatting with her best friend and sister Teeny.
She had a remarkable gift for knowing when something would become meaningful years later. Linda carefully saved special items—from a beloved Barney Halloween costume now worn by her grandson to her daughter’s childhood bedroom set, which, after many years, became cherished and needed once again. She found joy in preserving these treasures so they could continue to bring comfort and happiness to her family.
Linda took pride in her beauty and style, always making sure her hair and makeup were done, with pedicures in her favorite colors of blue jean and pink. She adored her little dog, Scooter, and she cherished the sound of rain on a tin roof. Above all, Linda loved giving—whether it was thoughtful gifts, a meal, or a kind word, she delighted in bringing happiness to others.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Norman Friesenhahn; her daughters, Kimberly Friesenhahn and her partner, Bruce Jurgajtis, and Kelly Friesenhahn with husband Paul Pedraza; her beloved grandsons, Taylor Key and Jameson Pedraza; and her soon-to-arrive granddaughter, Mykenna Mae Pedraza, for whom Linda was already joyfully preparing with countless baby treasures. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Barbara Jordan.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at 14065 SH-16 S, San Antonio, TX 78224 The family will provide meat, tea and water, and kindly invites guests to bring a side dish or dessert to share.
