

Linda Joyce Perkins, born on October 13, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a cherished member of her community.
A passionate and dedicated leader, Linda made a lasting impact through her roles as a Marriage Encounter speaker, traveling across Texas to share her experiences and foster stronger relationships. Her commitment to her community extended beyond her work with Marriage Encounter. She was an active member of the Oak Meadow Women’s Club and served as President of the Oak Meadow Elementry PTA, always striving to improve the lives of those around her.
Linda’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving wife and mother, and to her grandchildren, she was affectionately known as “Gigi.” Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, John R. Perkins; children, Kimberely J. Serrano (Johnny III), Jeffrey David Perkins (Carrie), Zachary S. Perkins; grandchildren, Lizzie J. Serrano, Tate Serrano, Andrew J. Perkins, William A. Perkins, and Benjamin G. Perkins; siblings, Tina Strauss, Joy Wykowski, Steve Wykowski, Danny Wykowski, Tommy Wykowski, and Henry Wykowski; and many other extended family members and good friends. Her legacy of love, service, and devotion to others will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
