

She was born in Drayton, North Dakota on November 19, 1948 and was raised in Drayton, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and Grand Forks, North Dakota. She graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1966. She attended the University of North Dakota and married her high school sweetheart Gary in Grand Forks on August 10, 1968. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She loved literature and was a voracious reader.
In her 25 year career as a human resources professional, she held the highest level of certification in her career field as a Senior Professional in Human Resources SPHR. She was director of HR for several hospitals and medical centers throughout the US. Lindee culminated her career as Director of Human Resources at Texas Lutheran University, a school she loved, sharing mutual respect and the high regard of all the staff and faculty.
She was a board member and past-president of the Guadalupe County United Way and loved teaching children in the Junior Achievement Program in Seguin, TX. She co-founded the women's mentoring ministry at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in San Antonio. Her strong Christian faith, and her wit, wisdom and charm were always an inspiration to others, particularly during her recovery from meningitis in 2005 and during her battle with cancer. Lindee had friends all over the world.
She made friends quickly at every new city while sharing her husband's Air Force career. She loved their travels throughout Europe for several years and the many cities she lived in the US. Her greatest love and inspiration were her children and her grandchildren who affectionately called her Baba.
Lindee is survived by her husband Dr. Gary D. Larsen, Colonel, USAF Ret of San Antonio, her daughter Wendy Lemberg and husband Wesley of San Francisco, CA, her son Brady Larsen and his wife Janet, and grandchildren Shaylor, Aynsley and Brayden of San Antonio, her parents Elvin and LaVanche Stenvold of Grand Forks, ND, sisters Randie Dale Haake of Fargo, ND and Kandace Merlyn Loken of Arvilla, ND, her brother Scott Stenvold of Fargo, ND, and many nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and countless friends.
