Lionel is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, his daughter Deborah, grandchildren Brandon and Kathleen, brother George SantaCruz, nieces: Sylvia, Leticia and Debra, great niece Annette and great, great nephew Jesse.
Lionel was a Postal Inspector of 30 years before retiring in 1992. He was proud to serve his country in the United States Army National Guard. He served on the board of directors of the Alamo Federal Credit Union and was a past President of the Steeplechase Condominium Association.
Visitation for Lionel will be from 6:00pm - 9:00pm on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway. A rosary will be recited that same evening at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Monday, August 5, 2019 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7734 Robin Rest Dr.
