Lisa was raised in Hondo, TX and attended Hondo High School where she graduated in 1999 after which she married her High School sweetheart, Kevin in June of 2000. She decided to go into the medical field and attended St. Phillips College School of Nursing and graduated in 2004. Following a change of heart, Lisa went to work for HD Supply in New Braunfels, TX as a team lead/supervisor where she would remain the next 12 years before going to work as an insurance agent for USAA in April of 2016. Lisa was a dog lover and cherished her Old English Bulldog “Mr. Beefy” and her Yorkshire Terrier “Sparky”.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Carpenter; and special pet, Mr. Beefy.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Taggart; mother, Jean Carpenter; brother, Scott Carpenter; grandmother, Mary Howard; and numerous other loving family members.
The Memorial Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
