Lloyd Edward Beyer

Lloyd was born and raised in San Antonio and graduated from Harlandale High School. He married the love of his life, Patsy Sue Williams, and was married for 59 years at the time of her passing. He spent hours fishing and spending time at the lake house he built on Lake LBJ. He hosted countless fish fries for family and friends always filled with laughter and plenty of food. He enjoyed hunting trips to Colorado and later in the Texas Hill Country with his sons and grandsons. He was always ready to attend a football or baseball game whenever his grandsons were playing.

Lloyd retired from City Public Service as a meter-reader after 41 years of service. Lloyd was a keen business man who worked hard all of his life. As a boy, he shined shoes at various places up and down South Flores street. As a young man he sold newspapers for the San Antonio Express-News and was often the top salesman. He received numerous awards with recognition in the newspaper. He later earned his real estate license and became a real estate broker, where again he found success in sales.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his loving wife Patsy Sue Beyer, daughter Donna Sue Beyer, parents Clemens and Myrtle Beyer, and brother Herbert Beyer, Sr. He is survived by his sons Kenneth Beyer (Joanne); Earl Beyer (Karen); four grandsons Ryan Beyer (Margaret), Cody Beyer (Kristin), Evan Beyer (Courtney), and Colton Beyer; four great-grandchildren Grayson, Harper, Claire, and Brody. He is also survived by his sisters Joanne Smart and Betty Ross, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A heartfelt thank you to Angelia and all of the wonderful caregivers and staff at Brookdale Oakwell Assisted Living for the excellent care he received. You all made his time there very special.

A memorial service will be held for immediate family only. The service will be livestreamed below on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
