A life of faith, passion, generosity and service. Lorina had a deep faith in God. She believed that God is all loving and merciful. She had a great devotion to the Holy Spirit, which deepened her sense of intuition and insight about family, friends and everyone she met.
Lorina was born in Manila, Philippines to Bien Pammit and Lourdes Sison. She grew up in Camiling Tarlac with her siblings Bernard, Maria (Babes) and Sister Lovina (Lovette). She was raised by her Auntie Fely, Auntie Leoning and Mamay Anching.
At 18, Lorina came to the US. She married Eddie Alaniz on May 29, 1988. Together they had two beautiful children Christina (granddaughter Catalina) and Christopher.
A devoted wife and mother, Lorina cherished and centered her life on family. She took care of her family in times of hardship through sheer determination. She loved family time and dropped everything to go camping, boating, traveling and going on cruises. In her quiet way she coordinated their trips behind the scenes and was ready at a moment’s notice.
A foodie and a food adventurist, Lorina loved to cook and gather everyone at the dinner table. It’s no surprise that her favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas. She loved eating out and discovering new cuisines to share with friends and family. She loved shopping and had the knack for knowing and finding just the right gifts for her loved ones.
Lorina Sison-Pammit Alaniz, age 59, of Canyon Lake, Texas was born into eternal life on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, and will be celebrated every New Year's Eve.
