Lorna Gail Stone

Lorna Gail Stone, 84, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2019. Lorna was born to Daniel John Watts, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth (Johnson) Watts on February 12, 1935 at the Santa Rosa hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Lorna was a homemaker at heart and loved serving others. She really enjoyed cooking and sewing. Lorna received the gift of artistry from her father and enjoyed painting with many different mediums. Lorna grew up in San Antonio, but later relocated to Dallas where she became an avid Cowboys' fan. In later years, she enjoyed traveling with friends to Alaska, Hawaii and Europe. When asked who she was, Lorna would quickly explain, "I am a mother of six, a Christian and an artist." Lorna spent her last years in the memory care residence of Shavano Park Senior Living where she continued be an encouragement and joy to others.

Lorna is preceeded in death by her parents, Daniel John and Ruth Watts, brother, Daniel John Watts, Jr. and sister, Betty Ruth Telford. She is survived by her brother Robert Watts (Diane).

A loving and caring mom, Lorna is survived by her six children, Perry Sedgwick (Dee Dee), Richard Sedgwick (Debbie) Mike Sedgwick (Joanie), Dan Sedgwick (Katherine), Loren Stone (Debbie) and Alyssa Stone Dixon (David).

Lorna loved time with her grandchildren and is survived by these - Shannon Sedgwick Davis (Sam), Christopher Sedgwick (Jill), Melisande Johnston (Mike), Shea Ingram, James Sedgwick (Laura), Sheryl Sedgwick, Joseph Sedgwick, Matthew Sedgwick (Celine), Daniel Sedgwick (Ashley), Diana Sedgwick Kirby (Ryan), David Sedgwick, Tyler Sedgwick, Crystal Stone Parks (Jason), Amber Stone Peters (Will), Shauna Stone Cline (Kodi), Brett Dixon, Ryan Dixon and Josh Dixon. Lorna also found much joy in her 25 great grand-children.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 10:00am at Porter Loring North.
