Lottie Belle Mitchell

Witty, spunky, sassy, loving, determined ~ these are some of the ways people describe Lottie Belle Mitchell. Lottie went to be with our Lord on November 14, 2017, and will be missed by all who knew her. Lottie's ability to connect with people was a true gift. Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt ~ she loved her family dearly and loved many special friends as she did family. Lottie was preceded in death by her husband and love of 65 years, William R. Mitchell; her parents, Vernon and Lottie Williams; and five brothers, Robert, Earl, Vernon, Edward, and Tracy. She is survived by daughters Linda Zarakas and Martha Dowlearn; sisters Veda Coleman and Melba Mercer; two grandchildren and their families, Jodi Rogers, husband Jason, children Bradyn, Chloe, Devean, T'Ana, Talia, and Brady Dowlearn, wife Elizabeth, children Addisyn, Ryan, Cambry; and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Sunset Funeral Home at noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomessa.com. Lottie loved flowers, which will gladly be accepted. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
