Louis was larger than life and had a heart of gold.
He graduated Monterrey High School in Lubbock where he starred on the tennis team. During the summers, he traveled the National Tennis Circuit where he played doubles with other stars including the famed Ricky Nelson.
Louis saw the best in all of his friends to the extent of saving their businesses and sometimes even their lives.
He was a graduate of Texas Tech University where he earned three advanced degrees in subjects ranging from chemistry to animal husbandry.
A well known collector, he dealt in antiques and was often consulted for appraisals.
He loved living life to the fullest while horse training, playing professional poker or just spending time with beloved friends.
Louis is preceded in death by his first wife, Beth. He is survived by his wife, Sydney and his brother, Larry Marshall, his wife, Paula and family; and a myriad of friends too numerous to list by name.
