Louise Overby Gentry, born November 9, 1915, in Waco, Texas, died June 6, 2007 in San Antonio, Texas. Louise graduated from Baylor University in 1937 and married Curtis Gentry in 1938, in a ceremony officiated by the Rev. W.R. Rushing, father of Florene Rushing, who later became Louise's sister-in-law when she married Shelton E. Overby, Jr. Louise and Curtis lived in many cities before settling in San Antonio in 1972. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha Schrader Overby and S. E. Overby, Sr., her brother, Shelton E. Overby, Jr. and her husband Curtis S. Gentry. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Raymond Darrow of Fort Worth, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Barbara Gentry, grandchildren Melinda Darrow, Stephen Darrow, and Sarah Lindsey, and greatgrandson Greg Darrow. The family expresses our great appreciation to the staff of Morningside Manor Unit 7 for their compassionate and expert care of Louise.
