I am so blessed that you were a very special part of our family. Although we didn't see one another often, I will always remember the visits Uncle Bill and I had with you and Denny in California; and, of course, my visit to Washington, D.C. when you and Denny lived in Virginia is very memorable. The times together were precious. You were a very special, loving and caring person. I know you are in a far better place, but you will be missed by all who knew you and will be in our hearts forever.

Our beloved Lourdes was truly a remarkable, strong-spirited, full of joy, warm and loving friend. The time we've spent together as friends will always be remembered. She was definitely one of God's finest creations, so precious in my heart. I will miss her and learn from her Godly ways. We all know that God has welcomed Lourdes in His loving arms. My sincerest condolences and continued prayers go to her family and loved ones. God bless!

Dear Dennis, 
We are deeply saddened yet also know Lourdes is with the Lord. We never met Lourdes but knew of her through my sister, Karen who went to be with the Lord in February, 2007. Karen met Lourdes at the hospital in San Antonio when Karen was travelling from Houston for clinical trial treatment for metastasized breast cancer. Karen spoke so highly of Lourdes and they became good friends adn shared their faith in God. 
Lourdes and Karen are an inspiration of how God can work through adversity to bring strength and faith. God is good. Karen hand wrote this:

Lourdes' most loving attribute was her heart. She had room in it for everyone, and made sure that they knew it. She is honestly one of the few people we knew who always put everyone else before her own needs. Her encouraging spirit & easy smile made everyone instantly feel better about themselves. We are going to miss her terribly, but we also know that she no longer suffers and is in a better place, with God. May God grant her the eternal rest she has worked so hard to earn here on earth. In my moments of reflection I thought of the many times we shared laughter because of our funny stories. We talked about our siblings, how each one is special from the other. We talked about our childhood, when the only times we saw each other was during fiestas and special family gatherings. Then came the time that set apart our connection. Little did we know that those times prepared us for a much more intimate cousin to cousin relationship. I love those moments and I will always cherish them...but it is our common love for the Lord and our humble families that will forever bind us together...in life and in death. As Aunt Lourdes' nephew I have many fond memories of visiting her and Uncle Denny. There were many spankings and stern talkings from my parents when we would visit, maybe some of which I deserved, but she was the nicest person and always able to cheer me up. She brought joy to so many people. She was a great person, friend, wife, and aunt. I will miss her dearly.

Lourdes was a real "Earth Angel" and I feel most blessed to have known her. She knew her God and I feel good that she is now in a better place with him.

Dennis, Pat and families ~ what a testimony Lourdes was to all of us at Covenant Bible Study. Always smiling, always praising, always grateful, always caring of others. I will miss her sitting next to me during Bible study. My prayers are with all of you.
