Lucille Pfeiffer Montgomery

Lucille Pfeiffer Montgomery passed on peacefully on April 17, 2016 in her 97th year. Lucille lived most of her life in San Antonio, TX, where she retired from the National Bank of Commerce. After retiring, she continued an active life enjoying time with her lifelong church friends and family. Grandma “Mimi” excelled at preparing wonderful dinners for the holidays accompanied by numerous desserts to complete her feasts. She also enjoyed a fair hand at writing poetry. She and her grandchildren loved memorable overnight stays at Mimi’s.

Lucille is survived by her brother, Melvin Pfeiffer; daughter, Betty Cortese & husband Mike; grandchildren, Gina Greenfield, Brian Cortese, Lisa Vaca & husband Chris and Nick Cortese; great grandchildren, Joey Hilkemeier, Joshua and Zachery Greenfield, Stefina and Sadie Cortese.

She survived her husband, Dorsey Montgomery; sisters, Gertrude Voges, Evelyn Bernhard; brothers, Gus Pfeiffer, Marvin Pfeiffer, Warren Pfeiffer; parents, Gus & Mabel Sherpey Pfeiffer.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 9 am, Friday, April 22, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
