Luid Townsend Hancock

Luid Hancock, beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully October 12, 2024 at the age of 85 in San Antonio. A self-made man, Luid dedicated his life to providing for his family as a successful entrepreneur. He was well respected by his colleagues and clients alike for his tough but fair approach to work and life.

Luid had a remarkable ability to get along with others with a smile on his face. He cherished his family above all else, instilling values of compassion, grit, faith in God, and patriotism in his children.

Luid is survived by Cecilia Hancock and their three children, Lisa Jimenez and husband Michael Jimenez, Carla Royder and husband Foy Royder, and L.T. Hancock and wife Leslie Hancock; his brother Larry Hancock; his six cherished grandchildren Michael and Connor Jimenez, Seth and Reid Royder, Town and Roddy Hancock; and his nephew Irish Hancock. His legacy of love and commitment to family will forever be remembered.

As we celebrate Luid's life, we remember not only his accomplishments but the warmth he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held on November 1, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Guests are welcome to arrive at 12:00 PM for visitation prior to the memorial service. The family will attend the burial directly after the service.
