Luis Rey Rodriguez

Luis Rodriguez, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, December 28,2022, in Natalia, Texas. He was born on August 25, 1947, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to parents, Consuelo Garza and Benerito Rodriguez. He was very proud to be an Army Veteran who served in Infantry with the Americal Division during the Vietnam War. He received numerous awards for his service but was most proud of the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star Medals.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Consuelo and Benerito Rodriguez, brother Osvaldo Noe Rodriguez and sister Siria Adelfa Diaz. Luis is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Consuelo Rodriguez; sons, Rey, Sr, Chris (Wanda), Roland (Angie), and Alex (Lizzette); grandchildren, Jakob, Adelynn, Angelina, Alyssa, Breanna and Rey, Jr; great grandchildren, Alek and Giovanni; siblings Maria de la Luz (Mike) Cunningham, Melida Ramsaran, Soledad (Antonio) Chacon, Jesus (Alice) Rodriguez, and Luisa Felan; sister-in-law Maria Rodriguez; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
