Luiz Rosas Polendo

Luiz Rosas Polendo Sr. was born on August 13, 1946, in Seguin, Texas and went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 78. He proudly served in the United States Air Force (1965-1968) as a Logistical Operator and was the proud owner of his beloved dog and faithful companion, CoCo Polendo(11/15/2008-12/26/2023). He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Polendo and Anita Rosas Polendo; sisters, Elena Ramirez, Dominga Berlanga, Trinidad Polendo Hernandez, Natalie Polendo Soto, and son-in-law, Jimmy Rodriguez.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Amparo Rodriguez Polendo; sons, Luiz R. Polendo Jr., Ricardo Polendo and wife Denisse Colon-Polendo; daughters, Monica Polendo Elizondo and husband Alfred J. Elizondo, Angelica Polendo Esparza, Amparo Polendo-Bowling and husband Gary Bowling, and Graciana Polendo Rodriguez; grandchildren, Katherine Polendo, Danielle J. Polendo, Anjanette Ruiz, Victoria Polendo, Roman Garcia II, Matthew Jacob, Sarah M. Esparza, Matthew Polendo-Mendoza and husband Aaron Polendo-Luevanos, Alexander Josiah, Davina Polendo-Mendoza, Robert Polendo-Mendoza, Isaiah S. Esparza, Liam K. Polendo Pingree, Reece M. Polendo Pingree, Luiz Isaiah Polendo, Stormi M. Polendo Elizondo; great grandchildren, Lukas Polendo, Luna Polendo-Fernandez and his sister, Mary Polendo Lopez.

Numerous nieces and nephews. Extended family and friends. His presence in our lives will be dearly missed.

The Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio TX 78237 with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m.

The Chapel Service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with The Rev. Jonathan Joj officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
