Lydia Montana Lopez

Lydia Montana Lopez born on August 24, 1931 in San Antonio TX was called to be with the Lord on September 5, 2014 at the age of 83. Grandma Lily was a beautiful spirit with a love for family, friends, music, life and DANCING. She generously gave to all without asking for anything in return. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with an enormous heart. Although we will miss her lively spirit and kind smile, we can take comfort in knowing that she is in heaven with God. She is preceded in death by her husband, Benito Lopez Lopez Sr., sisters, Eulalia Lopez, Amparo Montana and Dora Rabago; brothers, Pedro Montana and Tony Montana. She is survived by her children, Diana De Leon (Felipe), Sylvia Reyna (Gilbert), Ricardo Montana Lopez, Benito Montana Lopez Jr. (Mary Lou) and Christopher Montana Lopez; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister, Agnes Montana; brother, Guadalupe Montana; also, numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday September 10, 2014 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral procession will depart from the funeral home on Thursday September 11, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church. Interment will follow in First Memorial Park.
