

Madeleine F. Adams, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in San Antonio. She was born in Erpent, Belgium to parents, Alphonse and Gabrielle Dalle. From the age of 12 to her late teens, Madeleine lived under occupation from Germany during WWII. In her early 20's she took the opportunity to go to London to learn the English language. It was there that she met her husband. Richard was a Foreign Service Officer and Madeleine and the family traveled the world with him. Africa, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, no matter where they went, Madeleine was the perfect hostess. When not traveling, San Antonio was the home base and it was here that she and Richard settled. Madeleine will always be known for her skills as a seamstress, cook and especially gardening. Her devotion to God was practiced with her membership at St. Anthony De Padua CC. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard H. Adams; her sisters, Josee Dalle Lambert, Aimee Dalle Vermeren, Marcelle Dalle Baivier and Jeanine Dalle Deguel; her brothers, Fernand Dalle and Georges Dalle. Madeleine is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Buratti and husband, Mickey of Austin, Texas; her son, Richard H. Adams, Jr. of Keller, Texas; her son, Christopher P. Adams and wife, Lena of Salt Lake City, Utah; her daughter, Gabriella M. McMillian and husband, Timothy of San Antonio; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She and her family had many wonderful memories and stories that will be told over and over again. Madeleine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend and she will be missed by all.
