Magdalena M. Vargas went to her heavenly home on August 3, 2018 at the age of 94, in San Antonio, TX. She was born on July 11, 1924 to Santana and Maria E. Mora in San Antonio, TX. On December 9, 1945 she married Santos Vargas, Sr. and together they raised 5 children.
Magdalena was a faithful and devoted Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart, she was a member at Bethesda A/G Church. She read her bible daily, and she loved all her family and friends.
Magdalena was preceded in death by her parents Santana and Maria E. Mora, her brothers Fernando Mora, Francisco Mora, Baltazar Mora, Celestino Mora, Sr. and Lorenzo Mora, her sister Esther Ramos, grandson Jonathan Vargas, daughter-n-law Sara Vargas, and her loving husband Santos Vargas, Sr.
She is survived by her 5 children: Yolanda De La Cruz (Manuel) , Grace Vargas, Homer Vargas, Santos Vargas, Jr. (Geny), and Ruth Hover (Thomas). Her grandchildren: Laura De La Cruz, Manny De La Cruz (Carla), Jason De La Cruz (Mary), Tommy Hover, Tim Hover, Mario Vargas, Alexandria Vargas, Priscilla Salazar, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing: Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Service: Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 11:30 am, All Services will be held at Bethesda Assembly of God Church 8311 S. Zarzamora St. San Antonio, TX. 78224
Officiating Minister: Rev. Abel Vasquez with
Internment to follow at 1:30 pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
