Manuel E. Gallegos, age 91, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024. Manuel lived a life filled with love, strength, and service. Known for his quiet wisdom, his fierce loyalty to his family, and his proud service to his country, he was a man who truly embodied what it meant to care for others. His life was a testament to hard work, honor, and the joy he found in spending time with those he loved. Whether it was telling stories, sharing advice, or just enjoying a moment of peace, Manuel had a way of making those around him feel valued and cherished.

A public visitation for Manuel will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218. A rosary and Catholic mass will follow from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Afterward, Manuel will be honored with a full military honors ceremony at 11:15 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209, where he will be laid to rest with the dignity he so deserved.

Manuel leaves behind a legacy of kindness, courage, and unwavering love for his family and country. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the lessons he taught.
