

Manuela Margarita "Grandma" Cano, age 99, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019. Born in Los Aldamas, Mexico on September 3, 1919, to Florencio and Maria Gonzalez. She moved to the United States as a teenager along with her 4 sisters and 6 brothers.
Grandma, as she was affectionately known, loved people and in her endeavors in life, she chose the profession of caring for others and became a nurse. Grandma was best known for her tasty cooking and loved making everyone's favorite foods.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Tomas Loya Cano; her daughter, Lydia Campos and son, Tommy O. Cano. Grandma is survived by her brothers: Joe R. Gonzalez and Valentine R. Gonzalez; son, Lawrence "Sonny" Rodriguez and wife Sabrina; daughter, Debbie Rice and husband, Larry; grandchildren: Dr. Candace Kenton and husband, Dr. Alex Kenton, Jon Cabot Campos; Cyndi Lea and husband, Jeff; Annette Tiver and husband, Jason; Megan Wright and husband, USAF Major Dallas Wright; John O'Sullivan, Tiffany Wallace and husband Alan, Mindy Carroll and husband Andrew; Gary Rodriguez and wife, Randi; Brett Rodriguez and wife, Angie; Taunya Long and husband, David; Leah Patranella and husband, Chris; greatgrandchildren: Victoria Kenton, Harper Lea, Austin Patranella, Chase Patranella, Justus Rodriguez, Sonny Rodriguez, Chandra Paine, Joseph Paine, Owen Wallace, Kipp Wallace and Cade Wallace; six (6) great, great grandchildren; one (1) great, great, great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank Marcia Bernard from Ambassador Assisted Living for being so kind and loving to Grandma. Also a special thanks to Nedra Foster, Dee Marcel, Amy Tschida and George Henry from Good Shephard Hospice for all the amazing care and love you gave to Grandma and the support you gave to the family.
