

Margaret “Margie” Goodwin went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2021 at the age of 93, surrounded by her children in the comfort of her home. She was born on September 22, 1927 in Three Rivers, Texas to Henry “PooPoo” Guilford and Mabel “MiMi” McKinney-Goodwin. She was raised in San Antonio, Texas along with her older brother Henry “Greasy” Guilford Goodwin. She attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School and continued her education at Our Lady of the Lake University. She raised six children in San Antonio, 3 boys & 3 girls. Margie worked at Broadway Bank for more than 20 years and made many friends there. Margie was a kind and strong woman who worked hard to provide for her children; teaching them life lessons, giving support and encouragement where needed, and how to love with all your heart. Margie was strong in her faith and attended mass and enjoyed singing in the choir at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. In 2000, Margie sold her home on Barchester and moved to Goliad, Texas to enjoy the simple life in a small rural community. While living in Goliad, Margie faithfully attended mass services at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she embraced many new friends. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Henry Guilford Goodwin, and her oldest son, Henry “Hank” Guilford Langlinais. She is survived by her children, Richard Nevyn Langlinais & partner Susan Norwood, Michelle Langlinais, Lorena & Jerome Kanak, Rachael Langlinais, Matt & Lisa Langlinais, and Julie & Russell Dorsett. She was wonderfully blessed with 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren with an 11th due on her birthday this year. Pallbearers; Luke Langlinais, Troy Langlinais, John Dorsett, Kevin Kanak, David Kanak & Zeke Stout. Honorary Pall bearers; Matthew Langlinais, Russell Dorsett, Jerome Kanak, Carlos Perez, Delfino Aguilar, Colton Fisher, Vince Vela, Ryder Billo, Hunter Hale, Matthew Haney, Daniel Perez, Duncan McKay, Emilio Vargas III, David Calzada & Ethan Whaley. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Hospice of South Texas or to a charity of your choice.
