Margaret “Peggy” Hayes-Obringer (née Moody), 80, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023. She was born in San Antonio and lived here most of her life. Peggy graduated from Incarnate Word College (now UIW) in 1964 with a degree in history. At the time of her death, she was an officer of a farming corporation and a member of The Harp and Shamrock Society of Texas.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Ashton and Margaret Kramer Moody; husband, Earl Obringer (formerly Hayes); and brother John Moody. She is survived by her son Christopher A. Hayes, daughter Stacy, son-in-law Dirk, granddaughters Kiara and Marley, sister Joan Moody, as well as numerous cousins and friends.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 30 at 6:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North. A funeral mass will take place Wednesday, May 31 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. The interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery immediately following.
