Margaret F. James, age 77, entered God's loving arms on the evening of August 22, 2022 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on February 11, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to Robert & Tressie Nelle. A devoted wife and loving mother, Margaret spent her life serving the people she loved (and tormenting the people she didn't.)
Strength defined Margaret; she grew a business alongside her husband from the ground up, and she never took no for an answer. She was fiercely loyal, not to be underestimated, and had a talent for getting her way.
Margaret balanced her commitment to family and work with a love for the coast, slot machines, and the San Antonio Spurs. She could often be found fishing from her dock in Rockport, Texas with a Corona in her hand.
Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Nathan James; and her daughter, Sherlyn James-Zimmerman. Margaret is survived by her son Jeffrey Kopchak-James and son-in-law Jason Kopchak-James, and her brother Clinton Alvin Nelle.
Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home Wednesday August 31, 2022.
Visitation will take place in the Chapel at 2:00pm, Funeral Service at 3:00pm.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org (or your Alzheimer's organization of choice)
