

She was born July 1, 1921 in San Antonio to William and Clara Johnson. Following graduation from Incarnate Word High School, she received her RN nursing degree from Incarnate Word School of Nursing in 1941.
She was a longtime member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, the San Antonio Symphony Society and San Antonio Conservation Society; charter member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americans Court 2260 St. Joseph Catholic Church-Honey Creek, charter member of Arts and Crafts Group at St. Joseph Honey Creek, a member of the Care and Prayer Group at St. Joseph Honey Creek, and a member of the ACTS community.
Margaret was a world traveler whose travels took her to Europe, China, Africa, Canada, Mexico, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and all fifty states.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Colin C. Locke; sister, Lois Reeh; and niece, Stephanie Goben.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Janet Cleary; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and John Duran; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Herbert Holzmann; brother and sister-in-law, William H. and Dea Johnson, Jr.; six grandchildren, Amy Duran Oliver and husband Richard, Erin Duran Kirkland and husband Brian; John Colin Duran, Bill Cleary, Megan Cleary and Ben Cleary; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and CiCi, her poodle and faithful companion.
