Much beloved mother and wife, Margaret Peggy Steinhart Overly, died on October 3, 2007 at the age of 84 years, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born on September 13, 1923 in Havana, Cuba to the late Lillian Smith Malone and Frank Steinhart.
She was educated in Cuba and at St. Genevieve of the Pines in Asheville, North Carolina, which her mother and sister had also attended. She then attended Sweet Brier College in Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick Overly; daughter, Michele Rowe-Shields and her husband, Don Shields of San Jose, California; and her sister, Ann Alvarez Tabio of Prior Lake, Minnesota.
At Peggy's request, cremation has taken place.
Peggy was an ardent animal lover, especially of dogs and cats, in lieu flowers, donations may be made to the Wildlife Rescue, P. O. Box 369, Kendalia, Texas 78027.
