

Margaret Elizabeth Parker, nee Hearn, age 91, passed away July 8, 2015 in San Antonio. She was born in San Antonio on May 16, 1924 to Eulen Doyle and Arie Mills Hearn. She had 2 brothers, Jack and John, and a sister, Dorothy. She graduated from Harlandale High School in 1941.
During World War II she served in the Women's Army Air Corps and her duties included a tour on the Army Air Force staff at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. After World War II she was employed at Flight Test and the Directorate of Procurement at Kelly Air Force Base. She married Richard A. Parker in 1948. After marrying she became a homemaker and her main joys were her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and feeding the birds, deer and squirrels at her home in Hollywood Park. Margaret was affectionately known as "Nanny" by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived in death by her husband of 65 years, Richard Andrew Parker; son Richard Doyle Parker and wife Nancy Karen of Bulverde; daughter, Susan E. Cauble of San Antonio; brother Jack D. Hearn and wife Ann of Kerrville; grandchildren, Layla Dooley and husband Randall, Nikki Johnson and husband Tyler, Ashley Marie Parker of Austin and Michael Cauble of San Antonio; and great grandchildren; Allison Taylor Dooley, Randa Leigh Dooley, Ezekiel Kenean Johnson and Taft Ytages Johnson.
Private interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
