

She graduated from Brownsville High School and received her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Education degrees from Southwest Texas State University.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Bettie Wilson; her grandparents, Renée and Margaret Sauber, and Henry and Jimmie Wilson.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Kay James and husband Reace of Houston; sister, Betty Ann Teague and husband Jim of Austin; sister, Susan M. Luna and husband Frank of Brady; nieces and nephews, Major Troy Harrod, and Christy McQuillan, both of Seattle, WA, Karen Hicks of Lubbock, Wesley James of Austin, Carolyn Ramirez of San Marcos, Anne James of Nacogdoches, Amanda Luna of Alpine, Christopher Luna of Brady. Margaret was honored to have her longtime friend at her side, Sharon Lemons.
Margaret taught at North East Independent School District for 33 years in San Antonio. She taught 4 years at Oak Grove Elementary School and 29 years at El Dorado Elementary School. She was a first grade and fifth grade teacher.
Margaret received numerous honors including El Dorado teacher of the year and Honorary Lifetime Member of PTA. She chaired multiple committees and was considered by all a master teacher.
She was dedicated to her students, past and present, by her love, concern and teaching skills. She had a great impact on her students. She made learning an adventurous and meaningful experience. She had the gift to motivate her students to achieve their highest potential. Her influence on their lives is evidenced by the many students who return year after year to share their successes and thanking her for being a guiding factor in their lives.
She was a loving and devoted friend to all who shared her love for the teaching profession. Margaret was a giver, a nurturer, and a master teacher.
Margaret was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and guest organist. She was devoted to her faith and to her church.
Pallbearers will be Major Troy Harrod, Christopher Luna, Michael Hicks, Roger Ramirez, Frank Luna, Reace James, Jim Lemons, John Cameron and Paul Hemphill. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kathy Stull, Pam Marsh, Carol Pearce, Wilbur Morgan, Donna Newman and Lottie Demel.
A scholarship fund is being established in the name of Margaret Renée Wilson at the First Mark Credit Union. An annual scholarship will be given in Margaret's honor for those majoring in Elementary Education.
