Margie E. Horner

She was born to Ethel Belle (Miller) Gay and William Moriner Gay, along with her twin brother, Jim, on November 19, 1934, in Okesa, OK. She attended Nelagoney High School and then Business College in Bartlesville, OK.

She was married to William "W.T." Horner in 1954 and after his time in the Army and a brief residence in Ft. Benning, GA, they made their home in Okmulgee and Blackwell, OK until 1973 when they relocated to San Antonio, TX.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, William T. Horner and their four children, Debra Gay Turner and husband Dwight of Tonkawa, OK, Jack Alan and wife Becky of San Antonio, Jayna Lynn Harley of Nashville, TN, and Marcus Wayne and wife Stacy of Burnet, TX; eleven grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. She was a favorite “Aunt Margie” to 22 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her eight brothers and one sister, Maudie, Adrian "Snooks", Kenneth "Tud", Roy "TA", John "Bus", Sam, Willis "Black", Willard "Pat" and her twin brother, Jim.

Her faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior was a living faith and an example to many. Though she had many challenges of her own she was always able to offer comfort and encouragement to others and never complained about her own struggles or the physical pain she endured for over forty years.
