

She was an entrepreneur with her husband at carnivals and festivals during WWII. She lived through the Great Depression and later became a recreational park owner, mid-wife and rancher. She was a confident to many and friend to all.
Carmen was very generous, and kind. She was one of the last survivors of General Jose Francisco Ruiz, an original signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ernesto and Teodora Ovalle Ruiz; husband, Manuel Aguilar Elizondo; two daughters, Nancy Ingles and Carmen Proscelle; and all of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Enrique, Mario, and Amparo Aguilar; grandchildren she raised as her own, Judas and Dessy Garcia and Ernesto and Rosalinda Proscelle; 9 other grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Porter Loring on McCullough.
