Maria Cristina Flores entered into her eternal with the Lord on November 29, 2025 at the age of 79. She was born on November 3, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas to parents, Maria Cristina Orozco and Jose A. Flores. She is leaving behind a legacy of devotion, care, and deep pride in those she loved.
Though she never had children of her own, Maria Cristina lived a life rooted in family. She lovingly raised her niece as her own and later became a devoted caregiver to her parents, ensuring they were cared for with dignity, patience, and love as they aged.
Maria Cristina was a woman of strong convictions and a curious mind. She enjoyed spending time on YouTube, especially watching political discussions, and she never shied away from a good debate. Though she liked to argue a point now and then, it always came from a place of honesty, thoughtfulness, and a kind heart. She was proud of her family’s history and took great care in knowing where each family member came from and how their lives unfolded over time.
She found peace in tending to her red and pink roses, and she loved to draw—expressing herself as an artist through her creativity. She also had a deep love for animals and missed her beloved dog, Frankie G., dearly. Music filled her home and her heart—she especially loved classical music and the songs of Barry Manilow, which often inspired her to dance and enjoy the simple joy of movement. Maria Cristina also enjoyed cooking, eating good food, and sharing meals with those she loved.
Christmas held a special place in her heart. She cherished gathering with family, admiring the beauty of holiday lights, and celebrating the season together. A woman of faith, Maria Cristina prayed the rosary every day and was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She also had an interest in astrology and enjoyed following birth charts, blending faith, curiosity, and reflection in her daily life.
Maria will be reunited in heaven with her parents, Maria Cristina Flores, Jose A. Flores; sister, Maria Graciela Gillebaard; and beloved dog, Frankie G.
Her memory will forever live in her niece, Maria Graciela Jabore and husband Anthony R. Garcia. Above all, Maria Cristina will be remembered as a kind-hearted, honest, and deeply loving person—one who devoted her life to caring for others and honoring her family. Her presence will be missed, but her love, strength, and memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
