Maria Elida Riddle, age 66, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014. She was born in Del Rio, Texas to parents Gumecindo and Mercedes Hernandez. Maria loved flowers, her garden, reading and shopping as well as spending time with her beloved pet and companion, Brandy. She also enjoyed a full social life with many friends who will miss her dearly.
Maria was predeceased by her husband, Billy E. Riddle. She is survived by her brothers, Enrique Hernandez and Juan R. Hernandez; her nephews, Rudy Hernandez and wife, Veronica and Jason Hernandez; a great-niece, Rachel and her aunt, Estella Hernandez and family.
The family would like to express a very special thanks to Maria's devoted friends, Tamara, Lucy, Anita and Paula as well as the VITAS physicians and staff.
