Our beloved Maria “Mary” Rios was called home to our Lord on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at approximately 9 am. She was born on December 5, 1937, in El Maneado Ranch, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley to Esidro L. Reyna and Josefa Valdez Reyna. She was one of 8 children and devoted her love and time to serving her church, family, and community. She was an active member of St. Mary Magdalen parish for many years serving on the Altar Society, teaching CCD, and organizing and working at the church Angel thrift Store. She worked 25+ years in North East ISD as an elementary teacher aide and principal’s secretary. She would take on any tasks and get the job done efficiently. Everyone knew they could count on Mary!
