Maria Anita Schmidt, 73, of San Antonio, passed away, Sunday, June 2, 2013.
Maria retired from SAISD after 30 years as a teacher's aid in Special Education at Hawthorne Elementary School. She loved arts and crafts, gardening and music.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mercy Guajardo.
Maria is survived by her son, Juergen Joseph Schmidt; siblings, Linda Serrato (Juan), Maria H. Wilkes (Jim), Lionel Guajardo (Santos), Harold Guajardo (Elaine), and Dora E. White; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
