

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Maria A. Sierra. who entered into eternal rest on November 22, 2025 at the age of 87 years. She was born on May 10, 1938 in Fresnio, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Mrs. Sierra was a devout Christian and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She was active in her church and in her bible study groups. She leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith in God, strength joy, devotion, and a steadfast love for her family. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. We find solace knowing she is rejoicing in the presence of the Lord while being reunited with loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Inez Avila and Maria Carmen Luna Avila; husband, Pablo G. Sierra; siblings, Leonor Alvarez and Angelica Flores; grandson, Pablo Sierra III.
She is survived by her children;Pablo Sierra Jr., Carmen Sierra (Eric), and Betty Medina (Ric); grandchildren, Adam Sierra, Alejandro Sierra, Alejandra Sierra, Joshua Medina (Kayla), Richard Medina and Ethan Villarreal; great grandchildren, Pablo Sierra IV, Jesse Sierra, Julian Sierra, Giovanni Sierra, Xavier Sierra and Evelyn Sierra; siblings, Andrea Coss, Santos Avila Chavez, Francisco Avila, Luis Avila and Veronica Avila Cardoza.
The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio,TX 78237 with a Prayer Service to be conducted at 7:00 p.m.
The Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Mausoleum Chapel, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd., San Antonio,TX 78266. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum.
