

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1946. Mariano then served as a San Antonio police officer from 1953 to 1963. He then joined the U.S. Marshal service and in 1965 he graduated from St. Mary's University. Mariano retired as Deputy U.S. Marshal in 1980. He spent his last years enjoying painting and sketching.
Mariano was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia.
He is survived by sons, Michael David Granados and wife, Kathy, Steven Paul Granados and wife, Pearl and Mark Daniel Granados and wife, Cynthia; grandchildren, Sandra Coldewey and husband, Preston, Stephanie Hays and husband, Chad, Gregory Paul Granados, Daniel Victor Granados, Catherine Marie Granados and Caroline Michelle Granados; sister, Estella Atiee and husband, Isaac and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
