Marie Wexler

Maria Wexler, 90 years old, passed away on March 11, 2026. Maria, a lifelong resident of San Antonio, was born to Felipe and Concepcion Marquez on January 31, 1936. Maria is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Consuelo. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Morris, her three children, Christine Hollis, Ann Wexler, Robert Wexler, and her granddaughter, Kendalle Wexler.

Maria was a graduate of Incarnate Word High School and greatly valued the education she received there. Both her daughters and granddaughter followed in her footsteps, also graduating from Incarnate Word High School.

Maria was very active within St. Pius X for 53 years until her illness. She was a volunteer at both St. Pius X church and school, regularly attended adoration, and traveled to Israel with her church. She had a deep faith and a particular affinity for Padre Pio.

She loved spending time with her family, friends, and her rescue dog, Shellie.

Public Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218, US, on April 5, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Catholic Rosary will follow on April 5, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a live stream available at https://www.facebook.com/1742304236071652.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will take place at St Pius X Parish Office, 3303 Urban Crest Dr, San Antonio, TX 78209, US, on April 6, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, with a live stream available at https://www.facebook.com/1742304236071652.

A Committal Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209, US, on April 6, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:20 pm, with a live stream available at https://www.facebook.com/1742304236071652.
